Cross-stitch Menger sponge

Been working on this for about a week, first time that I can recll having done cross-stitch. It's appealing as an easy translation of pixel art ideas in to traditional craftwork, and I enjoyed making it, but it was a surprisingly time-consuming process, even once I got into a decent rhythm on my stitching.

Future projects I'll probably aim for something that involves less large fills and more negative space.
