1960s CorningWare casserole dish

I have the plates/bowls in this pattern passed down long ago from my folks and use them pretty much daily.

Wanna end a marriage quickly? Try dropping and breaking one.

I have this and yes, @fishtaco is correct

same

@fishtaco in my experience, these are precious and magical, yes, but in the end sufficiently ubiquitous that they can be replaced (albeit without the sentimental value), but break a beloved handmade mug that was bought from a local artisan in one of their last sales before closing their studio and quitting ceramics? Yeahhhhh... I was in the dog house for weeeeks.

@wombatman70 They are nonexistent in finland. Mine are Mom's collected pieces from the 1970s in Malaysia and effectively irreplaceable.

@infini still pretty ubiquitous in the States tho. Etsy/ebay has the old stuff and CorningWare still makes some.

Just last week I broke a sauce pan from this set and before I was even done cooking my meal I was on ebay looking for a replacement. Ended up getting that and another larger one for just $20 so not too bad.

Oh but what I was going to say is I didn't realize you couldn't get that pattern new anymore, you'd think they would keep them for the boomer market.

We had these in gold.

@infini ooo! I hadn’t thought of that! Defend them!

@mcmjolnir Yeah, I have most of a dinner set in a different older design that I picked up for $4 in a flea market in PA long ago
