Sci-Fi short I made landed on Dust one year ago [video and story]

Hey friends. It's been roughly one year since my first short film premiered on Dust. I made it in 2015, based on a several-years-old idea about ghosting people in relationships and pain avoidance. Managed to scrape together a few thousand dollars and we shot it in my living room, with the help of amazing actresses and a great DP (the incomparable Amanda Treyz). After it was finished, the short sat on the shelf for four years before Gunpowder and Sky offered to host it on their youtube channel.

I've made a few more shorts, had some great meetings that went nowhere, written some features that have yet to be made, and felt variously ambitious, disconcerted, encouraged, stymied, hopeless, and determined. But please, if you're working on your own stories, images, automobiles, gardens, whatever it is, keep going. Enjoy the process and your own life in that process, as much as you can. It is literally all there is.
