I had a LEEP procedure right after christmas in 2018 to remove an almost-cancer, there were not clear margins after surgery and 5 months after the procedure I still had abnormal cells and still tested positive for 2 of the most aggressive cancer-causing strains of hpv. I moved across the country and then the pandemic happened so the 2-3 paps per year to monitor did not happen as I was terrified to visit a medical office due to covid. A year and a half after my last test I finally did it. I was terrified for multiple reasons. To say this is a relief is an understatement. My covid anxiety has probably been quadrupled by the deep worry that I could be developing cancer, as I was 10000% convinced there was no way my immune system could do its job under the stress of the pandemic and trump's absolute nonsense.
