Old Fashioned (Wisconsin-style)

Wisconsin: a bar on every corner. Every. Single. Corner.

This looks light on the sugar and soda compared to the Old Fashions in the rural Wisconsin area I grew up in. But I do love having the conversation with my mother that they are different everywhere else in the US any time she visits me out of state, orders one, and can't stand what they give her.

As a transplant to this great state, I order mine with bourbon. Unless I'm at a supper club and don't feel like getting shanked.

@samh More bars than Churches isn't really the flex that people think it is.

“So many supper clubs because they cant spell restaurant” goes the joke long told by my Wisconsin-native family members

BOF sour is the GOAT and i will tolerate no backtalk on this

so where do they fit the cheese?

@scruss it's in a little crock on the relish tray

@chauffi I see, thanks. Do you melt it and pour it on the old fashioned?

The splash of soda is also known as a floater

I too prefer BOF but I would not send this back

@chauffi @tweedlydo @darth_smoothies I prefer Rye, but Brandy and Bourbon are great too.
